What are the responsibilities and job description for the Unit Support Worker 2-Visitation/Transportation position at Fairfield County Ohio?
The primary purpose of the Unit Support Worker 2 position is provide supervision of visitation between child and noncustodial parent, and monitoring of exchanges of children between their custodial and noncustodial parent. Provide case management to assigned cases.and perform general clerical duties for client services personnel. The Unit Support Worker 2 assists clients by providing basic services, such as transportation to and from visitation, medical appointments, counseling, other agency-supported functions. This position is responsible for assuring children have age appropriate necessities (diapers, formula etc.) for scheduled travel time, assuring the identity of both verbal and non-verbal children when picking up from care givers, providing care, guidance, and transfer of information to caregivers, and assuring safety of children in care at all times. The regular hours for this position includes evenings and weekends.
80% Provide client transportation for approved services (e.g., visitation, medical appointments, counseling, other agency-supported functions) as assigned by Agency Supervisor or designee, in accordance with all applicable laws and policies and procedures. Provide necessary care for children when transporting, including: Assuring children have age-appropriate necessities (diapers, formula etc.) for scheduled travel time, assuring the identity of both verbal and non-verbal children when picking up from care givers, providing care, guidance, and transfer of information to caregivers, and assuring safety of children in care at all times.
10% Converse with other agencies and the general public; foster parents, caseworkers, and caregivers; provide information, arrange travel, assist Visitation Monitors and Parent Educators with transfer and care of children.
10% Maintains case record documentation in SACWIS and the Electronic Data Management System (EDMS) (e.g., photos, audio/video recordings, activity logs, forms, and written summaries) for supervisory approvals and agency record retention. Attend meetings and/or training; other duties as assigned by Director or designee.

- Twelve months experience as a Unit Support Worker 1, 30111 and a valid driver's license.
- Or formal education in arithmetic that includes addition and subtraction, and reading and speaking common English vocabulary, one course or six months experience in typing, keyboarding or word processing, and a valid driver's license. Also requires an additional twelve months experience in typing, keyboarding or word processing and working in an office environment handling in-person and/or telephone contacts with clients, customers and/or general public.
