Role Description
This is a contract, on-site role for a Piano Teacher at our studio in Shelton, CT. Responsibilities include providing one-on-one piano lessons to students of various skill levels, teaching music theory, developing lesson plans, and fostering musical appreciation and growth. The role requires guiding students in both technical proficiency and artistry while maintaining a positive and engaging educational experience.
Qualifications
- Proficient Piano Playing skills and knowledge of Piano techniques
- Strong background in Piano Education and Music Education
- Understanding and ability to teach Music Theory
- Effective communication, patience, and ability to engage with students of all ages
- Prior teaching experience or relevant certifications in music education are a plus
- Formal education in music, such as a degree in Music Education or Piano Performance, is an advantage
