Seeking Female DSP Staff interested in working in Lancaster, Ohio.

Hours ranging 32 hours per week

Schedule is: Friday 4pm to 8pm, Saturday 8am to 10pm, Sunday 6am to 4pm, and Monday 4pm to 8pm.

Pay Range $17- $18, depending on experience & certifications

Must have medication administration.

Responsibilities

  • DSP daily documentation and outcome tracking for all shifts worked
  • Documents services provided according to the Individual Service Plan (ISP)
  • Monitor and review the client's personal money and financial statements and maintain records pertaining to expenditures, completing monthly reconciliations.
  • Attend team meetings as needed per client roster.
  • Recruiting DSPs, clients, and onboarding staff
  • Keep an open line of communication between FCS staff, clients, family, and other collaborative team members
  • Provides direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Performs personal care tasks, including assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding, toileting, and ambulation, medical monitoring, and health care-related tasks.
  • Fosters positive relationships among staff, individuals, and families supported
  • Ensures individual safety and maintaining a safe environment.
  • Reminds and assists individuals with medications (when assigned and with proper training)
  • Assist with medical appointments
  • Encourages self-help activities.
  • Reports on changes and/or incidents to FCS supervisor immediately
  • Performs home management functions such as light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and cleaning
  • Plans meals, shopping for groceries, preparing and serving food/meals, feeding and clean-up as necessary
  • Accompany individuals to community activities, scheduled appointments, and transport individuals or run errands for individuals as authorized by FCS and the individual service plan.
  • Provide assistance in the community.
  • Provide transportation as needed for daily activities and basic needs as necessary. Other related duties as assigned

Skills

  • 8 Hours DSP initial training/Annual DSP training due by December 31
  • CPR/First Aid with skills demonstration
  • Clean driving record of at least 5 points or less
  • Clear Background Check
  • Self-motivation
  • Organizational and multitasking skills
  • Close attention to detail and the ability to plan ahead
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication
  • Three work references
  • Proven experience working with people with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia (including Alzheimer’s), or in hospice care
  • Familiarity with group home settings, assisted living environments, or long-term care facilities
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or residents’ lifts
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with collaborative teams, individuals, families, guardians, and SSA/ISC
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of client information
  • Compassionate demeanor with patience for working with individuals experiencing memory loss or behavioral challenges
