Room Attendant / Housekeeper

Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Chesapeake Greenbrier is looking for dependable, detail-oriented Room Attendants to join our housekeeping team.
Our Room Attendants play a major role in the guest experience by making sure every guest room is clean, comfortable, and ready to Marriott standards.
Responsibilities
- Clean and reset guest rooms according to hotel and Marriott standards
- Make beds and replace linens
- Clean bathrooms, showers, tubs, toilets, mirrors, and floors
- Dust and wipe furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
- Vacuum and mop guest rooms as needed
- Remove trash and used linens
- Restock towels, toiletries, coffee, and other guest supplies
- Report maintenance concerns, damaged items, or lost-and-found items
- Maintain housekeeping carts and supplies
- Follow hotel safety, sanitation, and security procedures
- Complete assigned room board within expected productivity standards
- Assist with stayover service and other housekeeping duties as needed
Productivity Expectations
Room Attendants are expected to work efficiently while maintaining strong cleanliness standards. Our general expectation is approximately 30 minutes per checkout room, with assigned room boards completed within a reasonable timeframe based on occupancy and room type.
Qualifications
- Previous hotel housekeeping experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
- Strong attention to detail
- Dependable and punctual
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and willingness to receive coaching
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift throughout the shift
- Ability to lift approximately 25–30 pounds
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed
Schedule
- Day shift
- Approximately 8:00 AM until assigned rooms are completed
- Weekday, weekend, and holiday availability required
- Full-time and part-time opportunities may be available
