Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment, including HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and mechanical components to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
- Troubleshoot and repair appliances, air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and other mechanical devices using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct routine inspections of building systems to identify potential issues early and implement timely solutions.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately diagnose problems and execute repairs.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for accountability and future reference.
- Assist with construction or renovation projects as needed, ensuring all work complies with safety standards and specifications.
- Lead or support team efforts during emergency repairs or system failures to minimize downtime and operational impact.
Skills
- Proven experience in appliance repair, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration), or service technician roles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems efficiently.
- Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals for accurate diagnostics.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, air conditioning units, and related mechanical components.
- Ability to perform equipment repair and maintenance tasks safely and effectively.
- Construction experience is a plus for supporting facility upgrades or modifications.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work independently or lead small teams when necessary.
