Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of food items in a canteen/club environment. Your food preparation and cooking skills will contribute to delivering delicious and timely meals to our customers, ensuring satisfaction and quality at all times.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients efficiently and safely
- Maintain proper food handling procedures to uphold food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Set up workstations with all necessary ingredients and tools before each shift for smooth kitchen operations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and seamless service during busy hours
- Operate various kitchen equipment such as grills, deep fryers, slicers, and griddles safely and responsibly
Experience
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred, especially in a fast-paced setting
- Demonstrated culinary experience with strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling practices to ensure a safe kitchen environment
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and cleanliness
