Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately document mental health conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating modalities such as psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis tailored to each client’s needs.
- Deliver individual and group counseling sessions focusing on issues like grief, addiction, PTSD, gender identity, chronic pain management, and developmental disabilities.
- Implement crisis management strategies to support clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies or behavioral crises.
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams through case management practices while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining detailed medical records.
- Utilize telehealth technology to extend mental health services remotely, ensuring accessibility for clients with mobility or transportation challenges.
- Engage in clinical research and data collection efforts to improve treatment outcomes and contribute to the advancement of behavioral health practices.
Experience
- MSW or PhD.
- Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or geriatrics in outpatient or inpatient settings within behavioral health or clinical counseling environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and addiction counseling.
- Hands-on experience with crisis intervention protocols and crisis management procedures in hospital or community-based settings.
- Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation and medical record keeping.
- Prior telehealth experience is preferred to effectively deliver remote mental health services.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health and experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
- Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance standards and medical documentation requirements necessary for patient care confidentiality.
