Director of Talent

The Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA) in Tysons, Virginia seeks a dynamic and highly motivated Director of Talent to lead and manage a nationally recognized Talent program through transformational and innovative economic development approaches to attracting and developing workforce in Fairfax County and the region. The Director of Talent drives the execution of the strategy to achieve measurable results and further elevates FCEDA’s reputation as a leader in identifying and fulfilling workforce needs in the business community. This position serves as a principal subject matter expert and ambassador to employers and community partners such as universities and workforce development organizations.

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree and five to seven years of work experience in a relevant field is required. Experience in developing and executing a multidimensional strategy, while effectively delivering designated outcomes. Working knowledge of economic development and the relationship to workforce initiatives. Strategic thinker with hands-on style to deliver practical and effective solutions. Strong collaborator, advocate and partner with the ability to work effectively with company executives, academic partners, community stakeholders and senior leaders. 

The candidate must satisfactorily complete criminal background and credit checks.

This is a full time position with benefits. Salary is $100,000 to $130,000. This position is attached to Fairfax County government for payroll and like all FCEDA positions, is exempt from county civil service rules and regulations.
