We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering exceptional services. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow through effective chairside assisting techniques.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment area, adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Take radiographs (X-rays) while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Manage patient records and documentation using Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide education to patients on oral hygiene practices, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
- Support pediatric dentistry by creating a welcoming environment for children and assisting with their specific needs.
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to ensure the clinic is well-stocked.
- Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and instruments.
- Proficiency in using EMR systems; experience with Dentrix or Eaglesoft is preferred.
- Knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques and ability to assist effectively during procedures.
- Experience with medical imaging techniques and 3D scanners is a plus.
- Understanding of infection control practices, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology.
- Ability to perform basic medical documentation, coding, and record keeping accurately.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with patients of all ages, particularly in pediatrics.

Office Hours: Mon-Wed 7:30-5, Thurs 7:30-3
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 36 per week
