Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to residents in a nursing home or assisted living facility.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Administer medications according to prescribed instructions.
- Monitor and record vital signs of residents.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques.
- Implement behavior management strategies for residents with challenging behaviors.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of residents.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid and basic medical procedures.
- Familiarity with dementia care techniques and strategies.
- Ability to lift and transfer residents safely using proper techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
