Activities in which you will be involved include:
- Perform manufacturing engineering and operational tasks in the foundry under the supervision of a metallurgist.
- Support weekly casting events with the production team
- Participate in foundry quality control functions such as chemical testing, mechanical testing, sand testing, and process improvement activities
- Participate in cost reduction activities and operational improvements to satisfy customer needs.
Qualifications and experience:
Basic qualifications:
- Currently enrolled as a college student
- Basic knowledge of metal casting processes and foundry manufacturing.
- Basic personal computer proficiency (word processing, internet, e-mail, electronic data retrieval).
Preferred qualifications
- Experience or education in metal casting, metallurgy, and chemical engineering
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
