Key Responsibilities – Delivery Driver Helper (Non CDL)
As a Delivery Helper, you will work side-by-side with a delivery driver to ensure every package reaches its destination safely and on time. Your day-to-day will include:
- Report to our warehouse location each morning for shift loadout and package preparation
- Assist the delivery driver with loading and unloading oversized and extra-large packages from a DOT-regulated delivery vehicle (16–26 ft.)
- Follow your navigated delivery route, ensuring all packages are delivered accurately and on schedule
- Load and unload the delivery vehicle with care, following proper lifting and safety techniques
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections alongside the driver
- Communicate with dispatch to provide real-time delivery status updates
- Interact with customers and the public in a professional, courteous manner — representing Fair Winds Logistics with pride
- Support the driver in maintaining the vehicle and ensuring all deliveries are completed efficiently
- Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment on the road and at the warehouse
- End each shift back at the warehouse for post-route check-in and vehicle return
Delivery Driver Helper Requirements – Non CDL
We are looking for dependable team players who are ready to work hard and grow with us. Requirements for this Non CDL Delivery Driver Helper role include:
- Must be at least 21 years of age (required per DOT regulations for this vehicle class)
- Must pass a 5-panel drug screen; random testing also required
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a positive attitude
- Ability to work well within a team and follow directions
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset
- Ability to operate a smartphone and GPS navigation
- Previous experience in delivery, logistics, or warehouse operations is a plus — but not required
- Physically able to:
- Lift up to 70 lbs. independently, or up to 300 lbs. with team lift assistance
- Climb multiple flights of stairs while handling large packages
- Walk up to 6 miles per day
- English proficiency required
