We are looking for a motivated Server to Join us and be a part of the opening team in Carrollton as we introduce a new and exciting Dessert Café! Yep, that’s right! Something sweet is coming to Carrollton, and we’re looking for amazing people to be part of it! Duties of the Server include ensuring food service standards are met by maintaining a hygienic and clean work environment, responsible for creating a positive customer experience, clearing tables, greeting guests, ensure customers' expectations are met and to leave customers with a positive experience, wrapping cutlery as needed, and staying updated on current menu changes and monthly features . The ideal candidate should have positive interpersonal skills, must be a team player, punctuality and regular and reliable attendance is key, must be honest and work with a great deal of integrity. If you have previous experience in customer service, restaurant experience, guest relations, and eager to learn, we'd like to meet you. Ultimately, a successful server/hostess will play a vital role to the operation as they are the heart of the cafe and are the people responsible for creating a positive customer experience. Servers must go above and beyond for their customers to ensure they are welcomed with a smile and leave with a positive experience.
Server‘s Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming, fun, and professional dining experience.
- Take food, dessert, and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.
- Explain menu items, specials, desserts, drinks, and promotions to guests with confidence.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation and quality standards.
- Check on guests throughout their visit and respond quickly to requests or concerns.
- Process payments accurately and follow proper cash/card handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, server stations, and guest-facing areas.
- Assist with opening, closing, side work, restocking, and general restaurant duties.
- Work closely with kitchen, dessert, barista, and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth service.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company service standards.
Server Requirements:
Must-Haves:
- Must be friendly, professional, reliable, and comfortable interacting with guests.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment while staying organized.
- Must have strong communication skills and a positive team-first attitude.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and carry trays/items during scheduled shifts.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Previous restaurant, café, dessert shop, or customer service experience preferred.
- Experience using a POS system is a plus.
- Knowledge of desserts, coffee, specialty drinks, or casual dining service is helpful.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Food Handler certification is preferred or willingness to obtain one before starting.
