Position Summary
This position is based in Davenport Iowa, onsite full-time and will be dedicated to supporting our facility in Davenport Iowa while assisting the Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin facility remotely. This position will manage IT infrastructure and service in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure Management
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and networking systems.
- Ensure the security and integrity of data, networks, and systems through regular updates, patches, and backups.
- Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures to ensure efficient and secure operations.
- Create and maintain documents and processes related to systems, support, and networks.
- Provide advanced-level technical support as needed for internal IT staff and customers.
- Manage day-to-day support requests and support issues.
- Assist with management, support and maintenance of Virtual Infrastructure.
- System Maintenance: Oversee system backups, disaster recovery plans and ensure minimal downtime through proactive maintenance.
- Provide onsite technical support to staff, addressing hardware and software issues promptly and effectively.
- Assist remote facilities with IT support via phone, email, and remote support tools.
- Coordinate with external service providers for complex troubleshooting and repairs.
Management
- Work with IT Director to Lead IT projects, including the planning, execution, and delivery of new technology implementations and upgrades.
- Collaborate with various departments to assess IT needs and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Manage timelines, projects and resources efficiently.
- Manage overall the helpdesk ticket system, ensuring SLA’s are met.
Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor local IT staff, ensuring continuous development and adherence to best practices.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Foster a team-oriented environment that promotes dependability and fairness and rewards collaboration, information sharing, tolerance, and open-mindedness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in IT End User Support (Help Desk).
- Strong knowledge of network and system administration, cybersecurity, and data management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Proven project management experience, with the ability to lead and deliver IT projects on time and within budget.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Availability to work onsite full-time and provide remote support to other facilities.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Work is performed in a manufacturing and office environment. Frequent to maximum activities include: speaking, hearing, walking, standing and sitting. Must be able to lift 5-60 lbs, kneel, squat, climb and stoop occasionally.
