We are a premiere entertainment venue presenting thoroughbred & exotic animal races, slots, video poker and simulcasting year-round. Located in New Orleans, Fair Grounds operates a slot-machine gaming facility and 13 off-track betting parlors throughout southeast Louisiana.
JOB SUMMARY
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist HR team with onboarding of new team members.
- Create and distribute identification badges.
- Updates new hire photos in the database for surveillance/compliance purposes.
- Assist with the distribution of employee uniforms and managing inventory counts.
- Assist with the processing ARIBA invoicing for the department.
- Assist with the administrative processing of gaming and racing license applications when needed.
- Assist with the processing and auditing of I-9’s and Signature Cards as required (i.e., annually, monthly, quarterly).
- Assist with the coordination new hire orientation and training classes.
- Assists new hires and applicants with the application process.
- Update communication boards.
- Provides administrative support to the HR Department including scheduling meetings and handling correspondence.
- Utilizes SAP system to lookup employee information (payroll and general inquiries).
- Coordination of monthly birthday card distribution.
- Creating and pulling HR reports when needed.
- Possess the ability to use extreme confidentiality in the handling of all employee information.
- Ensure proper maintenance of applicant files.
- Distribute mail and manages Mail Room.
- Pickup of packages from Security Office as needed.
- Distributes payroll checks.
- Assist with preparation and coordination with HR Employee Events (i.e. Ambassador Program, Winner’s Circle, etc.).
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be 21 years or older. Must be able to obtain a Louisiana Racing License.
