What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Aide position at Fair Acres Geriatric Center?
Position Summary:
Performs a variety of duties relating to sorting and hanging soiled linen and residents' clothing, operating the washer, processing, delivering resident clothing, processing clean linen and loading linen racks, labeling, mending residents clothing, and performing the housekeeping function in the laundry.
Responsibilities:
- Operate equipment including washer, dryers, sewing machine, label maker and heat seal machine
- Sort soiled linen and resident clothing by related classifications
- Labels resident clothing and deliver resident clothing to the units
- Perform housekeeping duties throughout the laundry and maintain clean laundry facility.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent required
1-2 years of prior Laundry/Housekeeping working expereince
Able to work every other weekend
Job Type: Full-time
