What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Lot Attendant position at FAI?
Automotive Lot Attendant - Full Time - ensures that the lot is organized, vehicles are properly prepared for appointments, and operations run smoothly. Work closely with the lot manager and front office staff in coordinating the day’s appointments, moving vehicles, cleaning/prepping for release. Candidate must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions and able to lift 30lbs.
- Organizing the lot: Moving and parking vehicles in designated areas to maximize space and ensure easy access. This will be done across several lot locations.
- Vehicle preparation for release: Perform removal of vehicle personal property as per client guidelines. Utilize company checklist and tags to identify contents and store in container.
- Managing Lot List: Tracking of vehicle locations utilizing a Lot List. Manually comparing vehicle VIN numbers against Lot list in order to determine # of days’ vehicles are stored.
- Customer service: Directing them on the process for retrieving vehicles or personal property.
- Inspections: Conducting basic inspections for cleanliness and/or damage on newly arrived vehicles and reporting issues to management. Take pictures of all vehicles brought to the main lot. Tags Keys and confirms Mileage.
- iPAD/App: When instructed by the manager, you will assist in completing condition reports of voluntary/surrendered vehicles that are brought to the main lot. For all vehicles, responsible for confirming the access level of the vehicle. If/When we are in possession of the key, confirm access to vehicle Trunk/Hatch, Glove, etc.

Qualifications/Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Auction/Automotive Lot experience
- Proven ability to multitask and attention to detail
- Possesses confidence and integrity while handling sensitive information/situations
- Proven ability to manage under high pressure situations
- Proficiency with computer/iPAD systems and applications
- Must be at least 25 years of age and have a valid and clean driver's license
- Must be able to drive Manual and Automatic Vehicles re
- Background and Drug tests are contingent
Must be trustworthy, honest and abide with the law(s) set with in the industry
Hours: This is an 8 Hour shift - 6:30AM – 3:30PM with (1hour lunch)
Hourly Rate: $20/hr. x 40-hour week paid via Direct Deposit weekly
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
