Faherty Brand is looking for a Temp Director of Commercial Marketing- a sharp, execution-oriented marketing leader who blends analytical rigor with a modern, digitally-native mindset. Reporting to the CEO, this role sits at the intersection of performance, data, and go-to-market execution. You will own catalog strategy, channel analytics, in-channel performance marketing, and cross-channel prospecting- making smart, fast calls that drive real commercial outcomes across wholesale, retail, and ecommerce. We need someone who rolls up their sleeves, digs into the data, and gets results. What you'll do:
- Own in-channel performance marketing across paid social, SEM, SEO, affiliate, and emerging AI-driven acquisition channels- making confident, data-backed calls on channel mix and budget allocation
- Drive customer acquisition strategy with a strong command of CAC, LTV, ROAS, and media efficiency metrics
- Lead prospecting and retargeting programs- building and optimizing audience segmentation, lookalike strategies, and full-funnel conversion paths
- Manage and optimize the marketing catalog- ensuring product data is clean, structured, and performing across all channels
- Build and maintain dashboards that surface real-time performance insights and translate data into clear actions for leadership
- Own in-channel reporting and make proactive recommendations on prospecting, spend reallocation, and emerging opportunities
- Oversee the marketing tech stack and optimize tools, attribution models, and data infrastructure to improve decision-making and performance visibility
- Partner with ecommerce and merchandising to align catalog priorities with channel sequencing and sell-through goals
- Contribute to integrated go-to-market plans across wholesale, retail, and digital- translating seasonal priorities into coordinated, high-impact activations
- Work cross-functionally with Creative, Merchandising, Retail, and Wholesale to keep execution tight and on-brand
- Think strategically about how AI and automation are reshaping marketing operations, from smarter product data usage to AI-driven acquisition and go-to-market workflows
- Evaluate and implement tools that allow the team to do more with less, balancing human judgment with AI capability
- Stay ahead of emerging platforms (TikTok, AI-native channels) and bring a modern, zeitgeist-aware perspective to all marketing decisions
What you'll have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in performance marketing, growth, or commercial marketing- with time at both a brand and an agency strongly preferred
- Deep fluency in performance marketing platforms and attribution modeling- paid social, SEM/SEO, affiliate, and other acquisition channels
- Strong understanding of marketing technology stack architecture, including the interplay between engagement tools, ad serving platforms, and data infrastructure
- Experience with core marketing platforms including CMS, customer engagement platforms
- Proficiency with project and product management platforms such as Airtable, Jira, or Asana; experience with BI tools and experimentation frameworks
- Familiarity with global data privacy and consent regulations as they apply to digital marketing operations
- Modern and digitally native- fluent in TikTok, AI marketing tools, and the current marketing zeitgeist
- Analytically rigorous and operationally sharp- comfortable with financial modeling, forecasting, and performance dashboards
- Exceptional communicator- able to simplify complexity, break down technical concepts for both business and creative stakeholders, and drive alignment across the org
We aim to pay competitively for our size and industry. The hourly rate range for this position is $85.00 - $100.00 USD/hour, but we will consider location, skill level and experience to determine the final offer.
