About The Job
The primary purpose of the Visual Inspection technician role is to perform 100% visual inspection of all batches produced for commercial release. This may include sample inspection, inspection of IV bags, syringes, vials and droptainers. The visual inspection technician is responsible for ensuring operations are performed in a safe and compliant manner that supports the post-production quality and operation performance goals and objectives.

About The Job
The primary purpose of the Visual Inspection technician role is to perform 100% visual inspection of all batches produced for commercial release. This may include sample inspection, inspection of IV bags, syringes, vials and droptainers. The visual inspection technician is responsible for ensuring operations are performed in a safe and compliant manner that supports the post-production quality and operation performance goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure training and compliance of job tasks are up to date and accurate.
- Perform visual counts of medications to be visually inspected.
- Perform visual inspection of product units prior to labeling (various format presentations).
- Perform batch documentation for defects identified, rejection rate calculations and proper pre and post line clearance operations.
- Responsible for preparing and staging products for visual inspection.
- Cleans and prepares visual inspection area for use.
- Proper documentation of forms in all post-production areas.
- Other duties as assigned.
- No prior formal training is required. All aspects of Post-Production/Quarantine can be learned on the job.
- Manual hand-eye coordination to identify and remove defective units.
- The visual inspection technician shall be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods of time, and be able to pass a vision test.
- English communication skills to maintain and read routine written logs and records, as well as interaction with trainers, leads, and supervisors.
