Seeking General Manager-The Hotels at Fagers Island located in Ocean City, MD
The Lighthouse Club Hotel and the Edge are unique, small boutique properties directly on the bay in Ocean City Maryland. Hands on job. Will need to be proficient in staff management, POS reservations systems, and tech savy. Full-time, year round seasonal business, salary commensurate with experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
*Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management, Business Management or a related field
*3-4 years of experience in hotel or in another management position
*Understanding of basic financial statements, scheduling and ordering
*Ability to effectively communicate professionally with all employees
*Ability to effectively listen, understand and clarify guest concerns
*Effective leadership abilities, strategic planning and strong operational skills
*Possess high standards of personal appearance and grooming
*Effective in anticipating, solving and handling problems as they arise
*Ability to multitask and understand job requirements for all positions in the hotel
*Maintain confidentiality of information
RESPONSIBILITIES
*The General Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the hotel on a day to day basis ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction and financial success
*Recruit, train and manage employees from all departments
*Respond promptly to guest issues and resolve complaints effectively and efficiently
*Monitor guest review and ratings and regularly communicate information with ownership
*Meet with ownership regularly to maximize revenue through pricing strategies and sales initiatives
*Work with marketing personnel to help develop all mediums to increase occupancy and revenue
*Work with maintenance staff to maintain the physical condition of the hotel to ensure proper upkeep
and adherence to safety standards as well as local, state and federal regulations
*Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices
*Prepare regular reports for hotel owners as directed
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
