The Systems Administrator position is responsible for assisting FAGE in bringing a quality product to market. Providing assisted oversight and in-the-field support to a six-person team, collaborating closely with the security department and other teams within a manufacturing environment on an international scale.

Overview:

Key responsibilities include IT System Management, where administrators aid, maintain, propose, implement, troubleshoot, and decommission IT systems adhering to FAGE standards and industry practices. This includes end devices, servers, manufacturing equipment, emerging technologies, assorted software(s), and services.

Systems Administrators also provide user support, interact with end users, vendors, and guests globally, and resolve technical issues. An implemented and managed helpdesk in use for on call support, rotating staff to ensure timely coverage of critical after-hours needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure, Datacenter Management and Communication: Oversee and optimize on-premise VMWare, Microsoft Azure, datacenter infrastructure, and Avaya phone systems to ensure performance, security and reliability.
  • ERP System Leadership: Contribute to the enhancement of SAP and related systems/services while maintaining data integrity.
  • Network Operations: Manage WAN and LAN operations, ensuring connectivity and compliance of a Cisco & FortiNet environment upholding industry best practices.
  • Server & End User: Proficiency with a majority of Microsoft Office/Windows applications, mobile operating systems, Windows workstations, macOS workstations, Windows/Linux server operating systems, and integrations with databases or Active Directory.
  • Problem-Solving: Performing troubleshooting and problem-solving tasks to address technical issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Support and Guidance: Provide support and guidance to counterparts, staff, vendors, customers, and guests; resolving issues with supported services.
  • Software and Hardware Testing: Gain experience in testing new software and hardware within initial implementation, development and production capacities.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Clear communication, independent work, collaboration with internal as well external parties on shared goals, and task prioritization.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2-4 years in IT within a 24/7 manufacturing setting, with demonstrable skills in and knowledge of managing IT operations.
  • ERP Management: Proven success managing ERP systems such as SAP.
  • Network Operations: Proven expertise in WAN and LAN functions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Highly skilled in troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Work Style: Capable of both collaborative and independent work.
  • Organization: Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Support: Experience in assisting staff, vendors, customers, and guests.
  • Testing: Background in testing new software and hardware in preparation for production environments.

Certifications where relevant are highly desired

Desired Experience:

  • On-Premise Virtualization & VM Management: Demonstrated ability to manage and optimize on-premise virtualization environments and virtual computing environments, ensuring optimal performance and resource utilization for data hosting.
  • ERP Systems Management: Expertise in overseeing ERP systems to ensure seamless integration and functionality across various applications.
  • Industrial Control Systems: Extensive exposure to planning, implementing, and supporting industrial control systems from an IT perspective, with experience in Rockwell systems considered advantageous.
  • Helpdesk & Asset Management: Proficient in handling regular helpdesk inquiries and managing IT assets, ensuring effective support and resource allocation.
  • Stress Management: Capable of performing in moderately stressful situations, maintaining composure and effectiveness.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated management experience, with a background in leading teams and managing projects in various capacities.
  • Documentation Implementation: Collaboration with colleagues to implement and update documentation classified as both public and private.
  • Technical Documentation: Experience in creating, managing, and controlling technical documentation, ensuring version control and accuracy.
  • Scripting & Automation: Proficient in scripting to automate deployments and installations, optimizing IT processes and efficiency.
  • Server & Cable Management: Competent in server cabinet and cable management standards, ensuring organized and efficient data center operations.
  • Collaboration with Third-Party IT Staff: Experienced in collaborating with external IT personnel to achieve shared goals, fostering strong partnerships and solutions.
  • Operating Systems Management: Adept at managing diverse mobile and desktop operating systems, ensuring seamless operation and user support.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
