JOB OVERVIEW
Transport guest luggage to/from guest rooms. Escort guests to rooms and inform guests of all resort services and features. Responsible for attending to immediate needs of each guest upon arrival and follow through attention throughout stay. Thorough knowledge of all resort services and amenities which serves as a guide to respective staff.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
- Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
- Maintain complete knowledge of:
- All Resort guest.
- Scheduled daily activities.
- In-house groups.
- Resort extension numbers.
- Beeper number/radios carried by resort personnel.
- All special requests (DND, screen calls, NRG, etc.)
- Hours of operation of each outlet.
- Features and services provided by the resort.
- Assist with luggage delivery to retrieval.
- Provide room orientation upon guest arrival
- Store guest baggage upon request and assist with the loading and unloading of baggage into and out of automobiles. Summon taxis upon request.
- Listen and respond to guest inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice. Answer questions and offer assistance giving accurate information regarding outlet hours, other hotel services, directions to local attractions or function rooms, car rentals, airline shuttle service, etc.
- Arrange transport for guest in house car.
- Provide assistance for all guests entering / departing hotel.
- Maintain cleanliness of the lobby for guests.
- Maintain cleanliness behind the bell stand, in the check-in/check-out area, and in the baggage room. Provide maintenance to bell carts.
