We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Form Setter to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for constructing and installing formwork for concrete structures, ensuring precision and safety on every project. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to determine formwork specifications and placement.
- Construct and assemble formwork using hand tools, power tools, metal studs, and other materials, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
- Install rebar reinforcement within forms according to engineering specifications for structural integrity.
- Prepare the site by performing heavy lifting tasks, concrete cutting, and setting up formwork supports securely.
- Pour concrete into forms using mixers and pumps, then finish surfaces through techniques such as troweling, plastering, stucco application, or caulking as needed.
- Ensure all work complies with construction workplace safety regulations and safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with carpenters, masons, and other trades to coordinate tasks effectively on the construction site.
Experience
- Proven experience working on construction projects with a focus on formwork construction and concrete pouring.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction tools, power tools, concrete mixers, and concrete pumping equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques and safety procedures in a construction environment.
- Familiarity with rebar installation, metal stud framing, tile laying, plastering, stucco application, caulking, and concrete finishing techniques.
- Prior experience working in construction workplaces adhering to safety regulations is highly desirable.
- Construction experience involving blueprint interpretation, concrete cutting, formwork assembly, and site safety practices is essential for success in this role.
