What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Medicine Program and Events Manager position at Faculty Physicians Inc.?
The Program & Events Manager leads the design, coordination, and execution of educational conferences, online training programs, and virtual speaker series that advance the Department of Emergency Medicine’s mission to be a preeminent destination for education and leadership in the field. Manages a portfolio of high-impact learning experiences that showcase departmental expertise, engage faculty and external leaders, and elevate the department’s national reputation. Oversees all aspects of event strategy, logistics, and marketing, while collaborating closely with physician educators and faculty content experts to develop and deliver exceptional educational experiences. Supervises program support staff and fosters collaboration across academic, clinical, and administrative teams.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or University; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in program, event, or project management; preferably within an academic medical center, university, or continuing education environment
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience is required
- CMP preferred
- Excellent organization and communication (oral and written) skills
- High level of proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite and software used by the department

The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland’s Faculty Physician’s Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/training and other qualifications.
