Welder Lead

Job Description

Wastequip has an immediate opportunity for a Welding Team Lead to support our Albany, OR manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities

• Create a team environment by actively and effectively communicating with all team members, fostering ownership and accountability within area of responsibility and throughout facility while visibly demonstrating the core values of Wastequip.
• Promote, monitor, and assure the safety of all team members by ensuring all safety policies/procedures are followed within the area of responsibility and throughout the facility.
• Mentor, train and motivate team members on each job function ensuring individual and group productivity.
• Directly responsible for the quality of finished products produced through proper administration of the company’s Quality Assurance Program within area of responsibility. Promptly notifies management of any observed quality issues regardless of area produced.
• Continually foster and support a continuous improvement environment. Immediately respond to problems within area of responsibility and take a lead role in problem solving activities to reduce or eliminate reoccurrence.
• Assure key performance indexes such as safety, quality and efficiency are achieved within the area of responsibility.
  
  

Qualifications

• 6 months or more in a welding role at Wastequip
• Proven leadership, verbal communications and interpersonal skills
• Two years of shop floor experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• 6 months direct experience in manufacturing of similar products with similar processes
