We are currently seeking motivated, dependable individuals to join our team as Security Officers assigned to a retail distribution facility in Westminster, California.
Position Information
Position: Security Officer (Unarmed)
Location: Westminster, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour
Position Summary
As a Security Officer with FOS Response Inc., you will play a critical role in protecting client property, employees, and assets. Your primary responsibility is to provide a visible security presence while conducting routine patrols, controlling site access, identifying security concerns, and responding professionally to incidents as they arise.
This position requires excellent observation skills, sound judgment, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to providing outstanding service.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine patrols of buildings, parking lots, loading docks, and perimeter fencing to identify security concerns or unsafe conditions.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, trespassing, vandalism, theft, or other violations occurring on the property.
- Control access by verifying employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel according to site procedures.
- Respond appropriately to alarms, disturbances, emergencies, and requests for assistance while following company protocols.
- Complete accurate Daily Activity Reports, incident reports, and other required documentation before the end of each shift.
- Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, emergency responders, and fellow team members.
- Report maintenance issues, damaged fencing, lighting failures, unlocked doors, or other conditions that could affect site security.
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent FOS Response Inc. with integrity and professionalism at all times.
- Provide courteous assistance to employees and visitors while enforcing site rules and company policies.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Possess a valid California BSIS Guard Card or be eligible to obtain one before starting employment.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record for positions requiring vehicle patrol.
- Reliable transportation to and from the assigned work location.
- Ability to write clear, detailed reports and communicate effectively in English.
- Must successfully pass a background investigation and any applicable pre-employment screening.
- Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in private security, law enforcement, military, or loss prevention.
