Machine Operator - Steel Dept

Overview:

This individual is responsible for running the brake press, plasma table, saws and/or drill press.

Create parts based on work orders in a timely manner, monitor and maintain proper cleanliness of machines and work area.

Adhere to safety requirements.

Job Requirements:

• Manufacture machined parts.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, shop drawings, routing instructions and specifications.
• Must be able to read (in English) and interpret information in work orders.
• Precise measuring, marking or scribing for subsequent finished fabrication.
• Good attention to detail.
• Checking work for defects.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work well with others.

Previous experience:

• Requires solid understanding of machining processes
• Comprehending blueprints and drawings and accompanying symbols.
• Material familiarity.
• Prior experience in manufacturing with steel, aluminum, and stainless.

Physical demands:

• Ability to lift 20-50 lbs.
• Ability to work in hot/cold manufacturing environment.
• Constant standing.
• Tolerate exposure to noise, dust and airborne particles.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
