Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, kitchens, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
- Handle various cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, window washing, and trash removal to maintain a spotless environment.
- Operate custodial equipment safely, including floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and industrial vacuums, following all safety procedures.
- Manage chemical agents safely by understanding proper handling, storage, and disposal procedures in compliance with safety protocols.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify areas needing attention or maintenance issues requiring escalation.
- Follow established sanitation standards to promote health and safety across all areas of the facility.
Requirements
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and chemical handling safety procedures.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting in accordance with safe lifting practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and visitors.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
