General Maintenance Technician

The General Maintenance Technician completes routine maintenance tasks that ensures the district’s facilities are prepared for the school day, events, and remains in safe operating condition. They also address immediate operational and/or safety concerns to ensure the well-being of our students and staff.

Hours
- Weekdays, Monday through Friday
- Shift is between 8:00 am to 6:30 pm, depending on building/task assigned
Job Duties
- Assists other maintenance technicians with projects; transporting and/or securing materials, painting and completion of other assigned tasks.
- Constructs a variety of items (e.g. walls, decks, ramps, counters, furniture, etc.
- Performs minor maintenance tasks including, electrical, changing lights, assembling furniture, floor and fence repair, etc.
- Follows work orders and blueprints to determine materials and tools needed for projects.
Requirements
- Two or more years’ experience in a maintenance role.
- Class “E” driver’s license required.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check. (physical exam, drug test, and criminal justice fingerprint/background clearance)
