Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Audit schedules and correct billing details to ensure accurate charges and claim readiness.
- Submit and track insurance claims, including required documentation.
- Post and reconcile insurance payments (EFT/mail) accurately and consistently.
- Resolve denials, rejections, and delayed payments through follow-up with carriers.
- Manage accounts receivable and patient balances, including statements, refunds, and collections support.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Superior organizational skills.
- Must be friendly and be able to maintain a smile and positive attitude in high-pressured environments.
- Must be a team player and work well with others.
- Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize tasks.
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office.
- High school diploma or its equivalent.
- Knowledge of oral surgery and/or dental terminology.
- Knowledge of CDT, CPT, ICD-10, modifiers, and coding practices.
- Minimum of 2 years of billing/insurance experience in a dental or medical practice is required, and oral surgery experience is a plus!
- Please Note: Prior posting insurance payments, understanding EOBs/write offs, navigating insurance portals, and working AR reports is required for this role.
