Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Aesthetic Nurse to join our fast paced busy Skin Clinic. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical expertise combined with a passion for aesthetic medicine, providing patients with safe, effective, and personalized treatments. This role involves administering non-invasive procedures such as dermal fillers, Botox, and laser treatments, while ensuring exceptional patient care in a professional environment. Responsibilities
- Administer aesthetic treatments including Botulinum toxin injections, dermal fillers, laser therapy, and esthetic laser treatments in accordance with established protocols.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine suitability for various procedures, ensuring safety and optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients on treatment options, pre- and post-procedure care, and address any concerns or questions to enhance patient satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation of all procedures performed using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Adhere strictly to aseptic techniques and infection control standards during all clinical procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs and assess overall health status prior to treatments, especially when dealing with complex cases or patients with underlying health conditions.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Stay current on advancements in aesthetic medicine, including new techniques, products, and safety guidelines through ongoing education and training.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Valid nursing license (RN or APRN) with current certification in aesthetics preferred.
- Proven experience administering injectable treatments such as Botox and dermal fillers; certification in esthetic laser treatments is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques relevant to aesthetic procedures.
- Excellent patient communication skills with the ability to educate and reassure clients effectively.
- Experience working in dermatology, plastic surgery, or medical spa settings is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
