Production Supervisor- Folding Shade/ Drapery

Position Overview

The Production Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing daily operations on the manufacturing line to ensure the timely, efficient, and high-quality production of window covering products. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills to meet production goals, maintain safety standards, and drive continuous improvement across all production activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, control, and adjust daily and weekly production loads to meet target ship dates and company objectives.
• Direct, supervise, and motivate production line staff, ensuring clear communication of goals, expectations, and priorities.
• Monitor and track progress toward production goals; proactively identify and resolve issues affecting schedule, quality, or cost.
• Ensure availability of materials, tools, and equipment to avoid production delays.
• Maintain high safety and housekeeping standards, ensuring all employees follow company safety policies and procedures.
• Train and develop team members on production processes, equipment operation, company policies, and administrative procedures.
• Implement cross-training initiatives to build workforce flexibility and strengthen employee capabilities.
• Collaborate with maintenance and quality assurance teams to address production equipment or product quality issues promptly.
• Review production data and metrics to support continuous improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Analyze workflow to identify process bottlenecks and recommend practical solutions.
• Prepare and submit daily and weekly reports to management on production performance, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
• Foster a positive team environment that promotes respect, accountability, and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in drapery and folding shade production, with a deep understanding of luxury materials, finishing standards, and high-end fabrication procedures.
• 3 years of experience in a supervisory role in manufacturing; experience in window coverings, textiles, or light assembly is a plus.
• Strong leadership and team development skills with a focus on productivity and quality.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and move through the manufacturing area for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 30 lbs. as needed.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
