We are seeking a Plant Manager to lead our production operations and drive efficiency, quality, and employee engagement across all departments.
Position Overview
The Plant Manager oversees daily operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring all departments—Rollstar, Drapery, Folding Roman Shade, and NWS—meet production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid background in manufacturing management, and a passion for operational excellence. This role require that all departments operate productively an in alignment with company expectations for quality, and cost control. You’ll work closely with the CEO to think creatively, leverage technology to unlock efficiencies and drive growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day plant operations and ensure production schedules are met across all departments.
- Oversee production planning, scheduling, and resources allocation to meet customers demand and delivery targets.
- Manage and coordinate the activities of production supervisors, team leads, and support staff.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain a strong focus on workplace safety and compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Collaborate with Quality Control, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Manage inventory levels, materials flow, and resource allocation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead, train, and motivate departmental supervisors and production teams to maintain high performance and morale.
- Develop and maintain strong relationship with cross- functional team and senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing management or plant operations, preferably in textiles, furniture, or home décor.
- Experience in the window covering industry preferred.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing multiple production departments.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, process improvement, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management software (ERP/MRP systems preferred).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods within the production area.
- Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying noise levels.
