Process Technician - Advanced Packaging

Technician job description:

• Perform fiber fusion splicing and operate optical test equipment, including OBR and related measurement instruments, ensuring all process steps are executed in accordance with established work instructions.
• Operate active alignment equipment, following engineering instructions and performing basic troubleshooting to support alignment process requirements.
• Perform basic troubleshooting on splicing, alignment, and optical test equipment to maintain process continuity and minimize downtime.
• Adhere to cleanroom protocols, ESD handling procedures, and all applicable work instructions and safety guidelines.
• Maintain accurate production records, travelers, and quality documentation in compliance with traceability requirements.

Top 3 skills:

• Hands-on proficiency in fiber fusion splicing and fiber handling, understand the splice quality parameters.
• Optical test equipment, Hands-on working knowledge for OBR and related optical measurement instrument, basic set up, operate, and data reading
• Active alignment, hands-on experience in active alignment machine or manual fixture. Understand optical power reading.

Education or Training:

• College or equivalent required
• Associate's degree or technical certification in electronics, optics, or manufacturing technology preferred
• On-the-job training or vocational training in microelectronics assembly, fiber optics, or photonic packaging acceptable
