Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines such as CNC lathes and milling machines using Fanuc controls or similar systems.
- Develop and modify CNC programs utilizing CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and manual programming techniques.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications, and technical documentation to produce accurate parts.
- Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Conduct routine machine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and perform adjustments to optimize machining processes.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, tooling setups, and welding equipment as needed for assembly or finishing tasks.
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to improve workflow efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain a safe working environment.
Skills
- Proficiency in CNC programming for both lathe and milling operations with experience in Fanuc controls or equivalent systems.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T standards to interpret complex technical drawings accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge related to machining processes, tooling selection, and machine maintenance.
- Experience with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SolidWorks or similar programs for part design review.
- Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM), plastics injection molding processes, and welding techniques is a plus.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Basic math skills for calculations related to machining tolerances and dimensions.
- Knowledge of safety procedures involving power tools, hand tools, tooling setups, forklift operation, and use of precision instruments.
