We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating various types of machinery and tools, with a focus on precision and quality. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality components while adhering to strict safety and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. This is for a 2nd shift position. 2nd shift premium offered. Pay is based on experience.

Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines, including vertical and horizontal mills, to produce precision parts according to specifications.
- Utilize Haas controls for operation of CNC equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications.
- Use Mastercam to ensure efficient machining processes.
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure parts meet required tolerances.
- Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
- Safely operate forklifts for material handling when necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Machinist or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in operating lathes, mills, and other machining equipment.
- Familiarity with CAM programming software is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T principles.
- Ability to use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers effectively.
- Experience with power tools and general machining practices.
- Forklift certification is a plus but not mandatory; training may be provided.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
