Position Summary
The Fabric Health Member Support Specialist plays a critical role in supporting our families’ needs by helping them apply for public benefits like Medicaid and food stamps. This team's focus is to navigate state systems efficiently and hand-hold families through the confusing process of applying for benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- State Benefit Assistance: Utilize government or healthcare-specific systems (examples include Compass in Pennsylvania) to process applications and verify benefits (previous knowledge not required)
- Document Management: Collect, upload, and organize member documents in state systems and internal platforms
- Workflow Management: Collaborate with internal teams to manage task handoffs and problem-solve in real-time
- High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred)
- 1–3 years of experience in healthcare administration, customer service, or data processing
- Familiarity with Medicaid systems and processes is a plus!
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in tools like Google Workspace, Slack, and Zendesk
- Applicants must reside in PA, MD, NJ, DC, or NC
- Bilingual in Spanish – Helpful for connecting with a broader range of families
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks
- Collaborative and adaptable to changing workflows
Availability
- One weekend day is required (Saturday or Sunday) as weekends are our busiest times!
- Full-Time: $24-$26hr
