General Description
A Textile Loom Operator operates a warping textile machine efficiently to get maximum output without defects, and ensures high-quality products are produced in accordance with customer specifications. A Textile Loom Operator possesses knowledge of process flow and material flow in a textile weaving environment, and is skilled about the important functions and operations of a loom machine. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical proficiency, and close adherence to safety standards.
Essential Job Functions
· Demonstrates regular on-premises attendance.
· Reads and interprets job sheets (e.g., yarn type, warp length, beam type, sections, reeds, etc.) in order to produce products to customer specs.
· Preps loom according to job sheet. Calculates raw material requirement, cleans machine, sets up creel, pulls yarn and creels bobbin to warper, etc.
· Manually starts/stops loom as needed and ensure proper functioning. Maneuvers loom levers, guides, harnesses, and buttons to operate loom.
· Closely monitors and inspects product output for defects and ensures quality of output. Processes orders according to job sheet specifications.
· Leaves work area and loom secure when work is complete. Keeps work area supplied, organized, and clean. Supports 5S activities.
· Maintains accurate records of production output and any issues encountered.
· Inspects loom and loom operation to determine if machine is operating in a safe manner. Immediately discontinues loom use and notifies appropriate personnel to conduct repairs or when unsafe operating conditions are suspected.
· Supports, follows, and uses the AS9100 quality management system.
· Follows, employs, and commits to workplace safety rules and protocols.
· Wears personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
· Operates with a high level of integrity and honesty.
· Completes workplace training, as assigned.
· Performs other duties, as required by the organization.
Education
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
· Experience working in a textile manufacturing environment preferred, but not required.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
