Role Description
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Crowd TD for contract freelance, remote position based in Baton Rouge, LA. This role involves developing and configuring crowd simulations to populate diverse scenes for film and visual productions. On a daily basis, you will create realistic and dynamic crowd behavior, collaborate closely with animators, technical directors, and supervisors, and ensure the seamless integration of crowd elements into projects. The role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize crowd setups while meeting deadlines and maintaining the artistic integrity of each production.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in crowd simulation tools such as Golaem, Massive, or similar software
- Experience in rigging, animation, and simulation workflows
- Strong knowledge of Python scripting and procedural techniques
- Understanding of 3D tools such as Maya, Houdini, or equivalent software
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to project demands
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively within a team
- Previous industry experience in VFX, animation, or related fields is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Graphics, Animation, or a related field is preferred
