Fabel Repair is looking for a dependable, hands-on Shop Maintenance Technician to help keep our shop, grounds, equipment, and automated truck wash clean, maintained, and running smoothly.
This is a varied position for someone who likes staying busy and can see what needs to be done without always being told. One part of the day may involve cleaning and degreasing shop bays, another may involve troubleshooting an issue at the truck wash, detailing a company vehicle, cleaning up the grounds, or delivering a customer's vehicle.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can problem-solve, and isn't afraid to jump in wherever they're needed.
What You'll Do
- Perform general shop and facility cleaning and maintenance
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and degrease shop floors and service bays
- Keep work areas, common areas, and facilities clean and organized
- Maintain the automated truck wash and keep the wash area clean and operational
- Monitor wash equipment and identify, troubleshoot, and report problems
- Assist with basic equipment repairs, maintenance, and replacement of components
- Assist truck wash customers and provide friendly customer service
- Wash company vehicles and perform interior vehicle detailing
- Pick up and deliver customer and company vehicles
- Shuttle customers as needed
- Perform grounds and parking lot cleanup and general exterior maintenance
- Assist with lawn care and seasonal property maintenance
- Help maintain tools, supplies, cleaning equipment, and shop equipment
- Work safely indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Assist other departments with general maintenance and facility needs
- Perform other duties as needed to help keep the facility running smoothly
What We're Looking For
- At least 2 years of general labor, maintenance, construction, cleaning, service, or similar hands-on experience
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Dependable and able to work independently
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable troubleshooting basic equipment issues
- Ability to recognize when something isn't working properly and take appropriate action
- Comfortable interacting with customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical work throughout the day
- Willing to work indoors and outdoors in hot, cold, rain, or snow
- Must pass a background check
- CDL is not required, but is a plus
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
