Position Overview
Title: SharePoint Architect
Job Type: Long Term Contract
Location: 45 Center Drive, Bethesda, Maryland 20892
Role Summary
This is one of two key technical personnel positions providing SharePoint, Power Platform, AI platform, and application development, security, and maintenance support services. The Senior IT Systems Architect serves as Primary Point of Contact (POC) with authority to act on all contract matters, available Monday through Friday, 0700–1600 hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, validate, and document migration of on-premises SP and SPSE sites to SharePoint Online (SPO)
- Implement and manage Power Platform, SPO, SPSE, and on-premises SP sites including data, lists, libraries, workflows, and subsites
- Provide administration, integration, maintenance, and operational support for enterprise AI platforms including CHIRP, Microsoft Copilot, and Assure OpenAI
- Provide Qlik Sense analytics and reporting support and SonarQube code quality management
- Perform database administration and development, including schema design, performance optimization, and data integration
- Ensure continuous operational availability, performance, security compliance, and functional integrity across all supported platforms
- Submit all source code to the designated NCCIH code repository; adhere to established coding standards and secure development best practices
- Document all site changes and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Train NCCIH staff on SharePoint and Power Platform solutions
- Respond to maintenance requests within one business day; provide system fixes, documentation, and training
- Conduct Business Analysis upon request to determine costs and anticipated benefits of line-of-business automation initiatives
- Recommend retirement of outdated services and adoption of new tools and technologies
Minimum Qualifications
- Ten years of progressive experience in enterprise SharePoint architecture and administration
- Five years of experience supporting Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online environments
- Demonstrated experience leading SharePoint migration initiatives from on-premises and/or SPSE to SPO
- Five years of experience architecting solutions for healthcare, document management, and grant management
- Demonstrated knowledge of Federal cybersecurity requirements (e.g., FISMA Moderate, NIST SP 800-53)
- Experience operating within Federal or similarly regulated IT environments
- Three years of experience using COTS AI platforms such as CoPilot, AI Builder, etc. (Key Personnel requirement)
Required Technical Skills
- SharePoint architecture and migration (on-premises/SPSE to SPO)
- Microsoft Teams management
- Power Platform development (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse)
- SQL Server and/or Azure SQL support
- Qlik Sense development
- AI platform configuration and integration (e.g., Copilot, enterprise AI tools)
- DevSecOps practices and secure code management (e.g., SonarQube, SAST/DAST)
- Enterprise system integrations (e.g., eRA, NBS)
Preferred Certifications
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field
- Microsoft certified developer for SharePoint Solutions
- CISSP or equivalent information security certification
