Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Head Trainer to lead our fitness team and elevate the training experience within our gym. Duties
Equipment upkeep and maintenance - Ensure all equipment is in working order and the studio remains organized to maximum workout space. Whenever issues arise, your role is to fix it or organize a replacement. You will have autonomy of the bank account to make purchase pertaining to the classes running optimally
Member connections and awareness - Keeping member’s personal and gym related milestones on your radar and properly celebrating them/ looping in our team of coaches to celebrate them. This could be collaborating with our team member in charge of social media, or doing a Loyalsnap weekly newsletter with the fun things in it!
Class Scheduling- Creating the class schedule, working with the coaches to ensure their schedules are appropriate for them
Ensuring all classes are covered - When a coach is unable to do a class, you will need to find a replacement or fill this space yourself
Coaching our coaches/ Keeping us accountable to level up/ Team building - Whenever you feel is appropriate, organizing coaches development sessions. This may be part of our regular team meetings, or something separately organised. This would also extend to identifying workshops or seminars that may be helpful Event Planning & Executing - Work together with the studio manager to plan and execute events on a case by case basis. This might be you running an event solo at times or us collaborating on bigger studio wide events!
Collaboration with management to make sure everything is aligned - doing monthly meetings with the studio manager to ensure all of the operations and activities done within the studio aligns what the coaches are doing Watching Webinars for the Phases & Briefing The Team …… Part of this is also Creating and Sending or Posting New Phase Calendar - You can send it to Tatum to post or just go ahead and do the post yourself and make it your own!
PAY & RESOURCES
The pay for this head coach position will be $500 each month, on top of what you are paid to coach, set up, and attend meetings.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to create safe, effective training routines.
- Expertise in body mechanics to teach proper movement patterns and prevent injuries.
- Excellent personal training to group training coaching skills with the ability to motivate individuals and groups alike.
- Background in personal training, group fitness instruction, or physical education teaching with demonstrated success.
- Effective sales skills related to fitness services, membership upselling, and health club promotions.
