We are seeking a dynamic Western Line Dancing Instructor who specializes in 2 Step and other country dance styles to energize our community This role is perfect for someone who loves teaching dance, engaging with diverse age groups, and bringing enthusiasm to every class. As a vital part of our team, you'll inspire participants to learn new steps, improve their skills, and most importantly, have a fantastic time dancing Your vibrant personality and love for Western line dancing will help foster a lively atmosphere that keeps everyone excited to come back week after week.
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging Western line dance and 2 Step classes for various skill levels, from beginners to advanced dancers
- Develop creative and effective curriculum plans that incorporate fundamental dance techniques and fun choreography
- Create an inclusive environment that encourages participation, enjoyment, and social interaction among attendees
- Manage class logistics including scheduling, setup, and ensuring a safe space for all participants
- Provide clear instruction on dance steps, posture, timing, and rhythm while maintaining high energy and motivation
- Offer personalized feedback to help dancers improve their skills and confidence in a positive manner
- Promote upcoming classes and special events through community outreach and social media channels
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of Western line dancing styles such as 2 Step and related country dances
- Experience in curriculum development tailored to different age groups and skill levels
- Strong teaching abilities with excellent classroom management skills
- Ability to engage participants with energetic instruction and maintain a lively class atmosphere
- Experience working with children, adults, or seniors in educational or recreational settings
- Proficiency in lesson planning that combines technical skills with fun activities
- Background in choreography or dance styles such as ballet or theater is a plus
- Skills in photography or videography to capture memorable moments during classes or performances
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to foster respectful and positive class environments
- Familiarity with early childhood education or preschool experience is advantageous for younger audiences
