Branch Manager Credit Union

TITLE: Branch ManagerREPORTS TO: AVP of OperationsBasic FunctionsPlans, directs, controls, and supervises branch activity and personnel as directedby Management. Coordinates and assigns the workload of the branchpersonnel; trains, instructs, and counsels branch employees in their related job duties,operational procedures and member service deliverables. Promotes and executes goalsset by management. Communicates with Operations Management and direct reports to ensure they stay fully informed of Credit Union branch conditions, operations and staffing matters. Completes management reports as assigned.Specific DutiesUnderstands service to the members is the most important duty of this position.Performs all MSR Duties as related to member service, including addressing member complaints.Ensures that new and current member information is updated in the core processing system daily, including change of addresses and other pertinent information necessary to keep accurate records of members' individual statement of accounts.Plans, assigns, and supervises branch staff activity. Disseminates information from Operations Management or other corporate management to staff.Trains and is accountable for branch staff’s readiness to perform their MSR dutiesReviews and reports non- exempt staff’s time for payroll processingWrites and delivers annual reviews for direct report staff members and turns into the Operations AVP for approval and confirmation.Performs branch daily accounting and cash handling, drawer monitoring, and periodic surprise cash drawer audits.Develops and maintains thorough knowledge on all credit union accounts, products and services.Maintains a good working knowledge of Loan products and promotional offerings. Responds to loan inquiries and processes loans.Completes and retains, per policy, all related documentation for member share and loan accounts. Ensures that adequate supplies and all materials used by the branch office are on hand and informs the proper personnel when purchases are necessary. Ensures the proper branch maintenance, cleanliness and security of work areas, desk, equipment, etc. Maintains member relations regarding courtesy, accuracy, and completeness of branch information transmitted, and confidentiality is executed per credit union policy.     Executes the ongoing compliance requirements relating to the branch and its location.      Collaborates with various departments and peer Managers in the credit union.      Performs such other duties as may be assigned from time to time.Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws, and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, US Patriot Act and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Completes all required training as assigned. QualificationsExperience working in a Financial Institution and knowledge of credit union philosophy. Supervisory experience is a plus. Must be familiar with credit union products and services. Possess people persuasion skills and customer service attitude. Must have strong oral and written communication skills and maintain professionalism at all times. Must have keen computer data entry accuracy skills and have a good understanding of general business software programs and machinery. This position requires mental alertness to prioritize workload and complete daily tasks timely, in a fast-paced environment with multiple duties and member requests. Must be able to perform job functions independently and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out written instructions and follow oral instructions. Will interact with members and staff daily.Physical Requirements:Performs primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting to 20 lbs. Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in a climate-controlled office environment. Must be able to go up and down stairs/ ladders when required. Must be able to routinely perform work on a computer (keyboard/ten key) for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to operate routine office equipment (computer, keyboard, phone, copier, fax, calculator, etc.)  Must be able to work extended hours when required or requested. Salary : $62,000 - $70,000
