We are seeking a dynamic Driver Advocate/Dispatch professional to coordinate daily transportation operations, support our drivers, and ensure seamless freight movement. This role involves managing dispatching tasks, utilizing advanced transportation management systems, and maintaining excellent communication with drivers and clients. Responsibilities
- Dispatch drivers efficiently using transportation management system McLeod
- Communicate proactively with drivers via multi-line phone systems, maintaining clear and professional phone etiquette
- Monitor fleet operations, including shipping & receiving activities
- Manage real-time data entry related to freight movements, logistics, and supply chain activities
- Provide exceptional support through phone call management, addressing driver inquiries and resolving issues promptly
Experience
- Proven experience in dispatching within the logistics or transportation industry
- Strong knowledge of transportation management systems
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally
- Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry and record keeping
- Ability to analyze logistics data for operational improvements
