Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Billing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will manage all aspects of billing and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing for our drivers and clients. Your expertise in financial software, accounting principles, and data entry will help maintain the integrity of our financial operations while providing excellent customer service to internal teams and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Review paperwork received to ensure accurate billing. You will coordinate with accounting and operations to confirm the receipt of all paperwork and process reports in Mcleod.
- Help create funding reports daily
- Process credit reviews for advocates
- Work with Brokerage/AP regarding short pays
Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within a corporate or governmental accounting environment.
- Strong proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar systems.
- Familiarity with financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet management.
- Knowledge of SOX compliance standards and experience working with Workday or Kronos is a plus.
- Excellent numeracy skills with high attention to detail; capable of performing 10-key typing and double-entry bookkeeping accurately.
- Ability to analyze data using Excel for data analysis and spreadsheets; strong mathematical skills are essential.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and providing top-tier customer service.
