Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on various vehicle systems using automotive diagnostic tools and schematics.
- Conduct engine repairs, including diesel engine maintenance and automotive engine system troubleshooting.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams to accurately diagnose electrical issues within vehicle electrical systems.
- Execute vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire alignments, wheel balancing, and heavy lifting procedures.
- Repair and service powertrain components, including transmissions and drivetrains, ensuring optimal vehicle performance.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical knowledge to complete repairs efficiently.
- Maintain detailed service records, follow safety protocols for manual handling and heavy lifting, and ensure all work complies with manufacturer standards.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience with a strong understanding of automotive repair processes.
- Expertise in automotive diagnostics, including the use of advanced diagnostic tools for complex electronic systems.
- Knowledge of ADAS technology, vehicle wiring diagrams, and automotive electrical systems.
- Skilled in repairing diesel engines, powertrain components, and general automotive engine technology.
- Ability to interpret schematics accurately and perform precise mechanical repairs on various vehicle types including GM vehicles if applicable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
