F&W’s Financial Reporting Group (FRG) provides a variety of client support services, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial and management reporting, audit assistance and periodic property valuation support.
About the job
As a full-time staff accountant in the FRG division, you'll be working closely with a team of accounting professionals; communicating regularly with peers, clients, auditors, and vendors. You will use strong problem-solving skills and well-developed project management abilities to support multiple client accounts. This position is on-site at our Albany, GA headquarters.
What you'll do
- Process accounts payable
- Process accounts receivables
- Prepare and maintain accrual schedules
- Maintain fixed asset schedule and prepaid records
- Prepare periodic financial statements and reporting packages
- Assist with annual budget process
- Assist with annual audits
- Prepare and file annual 1099s in accordance with laws and reporting deadlines
- Maintain accounting work papers and supporting analysis for all tasks performed
- Analyze information by developing reports
- Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
What we are looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or business related field (preferred)
- Minimum of two years of office/accounting experience
- Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation
- Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, vlookup), as well as other Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate complex information effectively to a variety of audiences
- Highly detail-oriented
- A team player that is willing to take leadership role
- Strong work ethic, able to work independently and take initiative
- Able to adapt to changing priorities in fast paced environment
- Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
- Able to work under periods of high stress to meet deadlines
- A strong work ethic and willingness to work non-traditional (and sometimes extended) work hours as required due to the firm's global business presence across time-zones
- Experience with MS Dynamics SL, Excel- power query and/or Prospero is a plus
