What are the responsibilities and job description for the Co- Teacher in Small Private Neurodiverse Kindergarten Class position at F.U.S.E. School and Summer camp?
Transitional Kindergarten Teacher
We are seeking a compassionate, reflective educator to join our team, supporting transitional kindergarten-aged children in a relationship-based, therapeutic school program. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with neurodivergent learners, including children with autism, and who values connection, play, and individualized support.
Our program is grounded in a neuroaffirming approach that honors each child’s unique profile, strengths, and ways of engaging with the world. We emphasize relationship-building, co-regulation, and development through play and meaningful interaction.
At FUSE, teachers are trained in approaches such as DIRFloortime, mindfulness, sensory integration, and social communication frameworks. We welcome applicants who have experience in these areas or who are eager to learn and grow within a supportive, collaborative environment.
About Our Program
FUSE (Foundations for Understanding Social Engagement) is a small, specialized school founded 10 years ago with a mission to support children’s social and emotional development in an affirming, individualized setting. Classrooms maintain a low ratio of 6 students to 2 teachers, allowing for responsive, relationship-driven teaching.
We are proud to have a strong, stable team, with many lead teachers having been part of the program since its founding. We prioritize ongoing professional growth and provide extensive training, supervision, and professional development opportunities.
Our team integrates a variety of frameworks, including DIRFloortime, Zones of Regulation, Social Thinking, and mindfulness practices, to thoughtfully support each child’s development.
