Fête is building a modern gifting platform that reimagines how people buy, receive, and give gifts – all within a model designed to be inherently sustainable. Our ecommerce storefront is the foundation, but our true innovation lies in gifting tech we're building on top of it to create an experience really built around gifting, not just your standard ecommerce stie. As we grow, we are also exploring adjacent business channels, including the production of luxury goods brands.
About the Role
We are a team of a dozen luxury retail experts, and you will be our very first product hire, tasked with establishing the product function and driving the success of our new digital offering. This is a 100% individual contributor role, at least for now, focused on execution and strategy.
You will work closely with the CTO, founder, a product designer, and a small external engineering team. There is no existing product org—you will build the function by doing.
This role reports to the CTO. We're listing this as a Hybrid role, but will also consider Remote candidates located in the US.
What You’ll Do
- Define what to build and why: customer problems, target users, success metrics
- Lead 0→1 product discovery: interviews, prototypes, validation, and iteration
- Decide MVP scope and sequencing; say no more than yes
- Own the product roadmap and prioritize work against business outcomes
- Write clear product requirements and work directly with designers and engineers
- Align stakeholders around decisions, tradeoffs, and measurable goals
- Establish lightweight product practices that scale later
What Matters for This Role
- 6 years of relevant experience in product management, with significant experience (3 years) operating at a senior level (Senior PM, Director, or Head).
- Proven ownership of at least one 0→1 digital product
- Strong product judgment under ambiguity and constraint
- Comfortable being the only product leader and PM
- Experience working with external or agency engineering teams
- Ability to connect customer insight, business goals, and technical reality
